Background...

Who is in control of your life?
Most of us like to think we have everything under control. We think we can take care of ourselves, our needs, our problems, our life. We struggle with ever really giving our life over completely to God. We get "saved" and we think we are good. But, have you ever wondered if that is all God really wants? Maybe He is looking for more.....Maybe He is looking to completely take control of our life and let us play the background......
I believe there is something deeper in the Christian walk. There has to be something bigger to our faith. If our God is simply asking for us to believe He exists...then fine....The Bible says even the demons know that.....But maybe He is asking for EVERYTHING....Its a hard concept to grasp.
Maybe instead of Him playing the background in our life, we should play the background to His life.

Your Very Best!!

I know personally there have been times in my life when I am about out of strength. Sometimes I feel like there have been too many hard balls thrown at me and my family. I feel the urge to give up, and throw in the towel. I feel like I have experienced the last little bit that I could handle, but then I have to ask myself, "is that really it, is it all I got, have I really given my very best?"

This is a familiar clip from Facing the Giants where Brock is doing the death crawl. He's coach is yelling at him telling him to give it all, to do his very best. Every time I watch this video it makes me ask myself, am I really giving my very best, in my everyday projects and accomplishments? Do I just give enough to barely get by, to barely get an A, to barely finish my job, to barely make it through life? Or am I giving my all on everything I do?

I don't know about you, but I want to live my life to its maximum potential. I want people to see my life as an example of someone who didn't quit, didn't give up, gave everything they had and gave their very best to all they did.

We don't have to do it alone though. In our own strength, we are hopeless. We can't be the very best or even give the very best if we try to do it ourself. Our job is to not give up, stand firm and see the deliverance of the Lord. 2 Chronicles 20:17 says "You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the LORD will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the LORD will be with you."

We don't have to do it ourself!!!! The Lord is with us!! "Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged." Go to work, school or even your home with a renewed passion to give your best, and then see the deliverance the Lord will give you!

Giving my best,
Hannah

It's time to let go!!

If you have ever watched Finding Nemo you probably remember this part. One of my favorite clips is whenever Dori tells Marlin that is is time to let go.

Recently God has been speaking this same word to me. It is time to let go of the things in your life you continue to cling to. Its time to let go of fear, anger, rebellion, pride, offense, selfishness or anything else that is not advancing the Kingdom of God. But, the difference between Dori and God? God does know what is going to happen, and if you let Him take control of your life, His "pruning" will only be for your good.

Today let go of things that continue to cling to you. Make a decision to give these things to God, and don't them back. Let go of the sin in your life, or even the things that aren't necessarily wrong, yet they distract you from your full purpose. Let go of the past, let go of the future!! Surrender your everything to God!! Give Him your life....and let go of everything else!!!

It's Time To Let Go!!!
