There once was a man who was rather wealthy. He lived in a beautiful house surrounded by a magnificent yard. However as he started to get older and his health started to decline, he was forced to move into an old and rather plain nursing home. The day he was moved into the nursing home, he met a man he knew from a while back. The nurse was pushing him in his wheelchair, and he began to talk to this man. The man asked him how he liked his room, and he immediantly expressed his delight with his accomadations. They finished their conversation and the nurse wheeled him back down the hallway. The nurse was quietly pondering something, and then hesitantly broached the subject. She said "Sir, no offense, but you just told that man how much you loved your room, and you haven't even see it yet.", He responded with a smile and said "I know, but i have already decided that I love it!".
I was reminded of this story today, and what a powerful concept it represented. We have the choice of how we are going to respond to the situations around us. We, like the man in the story, can decide early on that no matter what happens, we are going to love the results. If we do that, we can live a life of so much joy, peace and contentment no matter what our circumstances look like!!!

That is such a good post - very thought-provoking and very true. Life can be so much easier and peaceful to live if we embrace it head on.
